How much air do they hold/what pressure?
SPARE AIR is designed to get someone to the surface in the event of an emergency. The 300 model holds 3.0 cubic feet of air or approximately 57 breaths at the surface.

Where can I mount it?

How should you travel with SPARE AIR?
When carrying SPARE AIR on a commercial aircraft, empty all the air out of the system by slowly pressing the Purge Button and pack your SPARE AIR in your checked baggage; not carry on. Always bring your SPARE AIR Owner's Manual so you can show this to anyone that may have questions. Refill your SPARE AIR when you reach your dive destination.

What affect will flying at various altitudes have on my SPARE AIR?
Flying at various altitudes should produce no negative effect on the product. It has been used by the Navy, Air Force & private pilots for over 15 years now at various normal flight attitudes with no negative effects.

How long should it take to fill a SPARE AIR / what is the average safe filling time?
It should take approximately 1 minute to fill a 3.0 cu ft SPARE AIR! However being a licensed Hydrostatic Tester, Joe suggests a fill time of 3-5 Minutes.
