Mares Custom Scuba Gear Package Details: Select Mares Scuba Diving Gear - BCD, Regulator, Octopus and Gauge. The package base price items are highlighted in gray and are indicated as a $0 value. If you prefer to stay at the base price, be sure to click the appropriate items from each category that are highlighted in gray. Base Scuba Gear Products - The "Base Product:s" that are use to create the starting package are selected by default and have a different "Background Color" than other products in the category. If any of the Base Products have a size, i.e. BCD, the first size will be selected by default. Select Upgrades - To upgrade, select your desired item in each category. My First Scuba Gear, 8/21/2009 Reviewer: Christian Poulin (Castlegar, British columbia) I bought everything besides the tank...Im happy with the stuuf I got. I upgraded everything...It ended up being 824$ and its worth being happy with what you buy. Im happy with the integrated weight system vest, Ill never go back wearing a belt. I bought the Mares Pegaus Back Inflate...During my Rescue Diver Course It was hard for my teacher to drag me because of the back inflate feature but its very comfortable. I got the MR12 Rebel Air Regulator for 50$ more...And the Mares Prestige Octopuss beacause Id rather have this than a safety second. Its a personal preference. I also got the Mares Mission 3 with the compass because I plan to be an Instructoe so I dont have to put an extra piece of equip when the time comes!!! The only thing I don't like out of everything I bought was my mask. It has a purge under the nose and its hurting me...I hated that. And I bought the Mares Roller Luggage, but its a soft case and it doesnt have the handle extension, so its harder to walk with it. I would buy a hard case next time. I also got that IST 3mm blue neoprene suit...Awesome, love it, easy to put on and off. Also Got the Mares Raptor fin...satisfying... Now I can't wait to dive in the Red Sea or in Thailand...Feel free to inform me about those 2 destinations if you have been there!!
