All MARES computers are equipped with mineral glass displays. This provides superior scratch resistance, similar to the mineral glass used by watch manufacturers. The mineral glass is shock-proof, tempered, and non-reflective for better readability in all diving conditions and visibility levels. Additional anti-scratch displays or shields used by other brands are simply not necessary. If used, they serve strictly as additional protection.
All MARES computers can be individually set and adjusted to more conservative dive profiles if needed. If you need to do multi-level dives or multiple dives during a single day, you can choose different setting levels in order to adjust your computer to a more conservative dive profile. This function does not in principle offset any of the other relevant software safety functions and program settings, such as the deep-stops or the RGBM Algorithm, but rather it adds an individual safety factor to your personal dive profile.
Along with a few other manufacturers, MARES provides the functionality of user-replaceable standard batteries for its dive computers. By doing so, we make it possible for users to replace dead or weak batteries whenever and wherever needed. Standard batteries can be found almost anywhere around the world. You never need to abort a dive with a MARES computer because of a dead battery, and all your information is stored safely.
