The ASPIC 55 Speargun An excellent speargun concieved from experience in high perforamnce spearguns. Light, compact, easy to handle, powerful and accurate. Aspic Trigger Mechanism The high precision mechanism is composed of 18/8, 100% stainless steel, which is resistant to oxidation. To prevent any shaft deviation and energy loss when firing, line release is controlled directly by the trigger mechanism and not by the shaft motion, as in most spearguns. Aspic Speargun Barrel Made from extruded duralumin for exceptional durability and light weight. Spearfishers have found that the rounded barrel is the ideal shape for any speargun movements. It is particularly important that the barrel does not have a brake effect on vertical movements which are the most frequent ones and which also require maximum precision. In fact, horizontal movements are much rarer. Why? Because a good spearfisher lets the fish come closer. He never fires with his arm completely extended but always slightly bent. Moving the arm out and pushing the speargun forward provides the necessary sideways adjustment to prevent vibration of the rubber bands and shaft.
